Importance of Sadari

In Vaishnava temples, after getting the Theertham, we bow down our head to get the Sadari. Sadari is said to be the form of Sri Nammalwar, who is also named as "Sadagopan". As Sri Nammalwar says in his Thiruvaaimozhi, that all our sins will vanish if we strongly attach ourselves to the divine feet, the thiruvadi of Sriman Narayanan. He also explains that this is the universal way of attaining Mukthi.

Vaikunta Ekadashi

Vaikunta Ekadashi is the Ekadashi that occurs in the Hindu calendar month of Marghazhi or Margashirsha (corresponding to late December - January in English calendar). Vaishnavism (Worship of Lord Vishnu) culture believes that ‘Vaikunta Dwaram’ or ‘the gate to Lord's Inner Sanctum’ is opened on this day. The Margashirsha shukla paksha ekadashi in lunar calendar is known as a 'Mokshada Ekadashi'. People also know that as a vaikunta ekadashi. However vaikunta ekadashi in Sri Rangam Temple (Tamilnadu) is in the solar margashira month (Margazhi). It falls on 28th dec,2009.
